Quick Analysis:

The $1.80 we’re getting for Aussie Nation doesn’t exactly scream value, but I can’t really see anyone else challenging him. He’ll have to lug around the top weight, but drawing barrier one is a massive help. He has been in great form so far this prep, including a win and multiple second placings. One to add to your multis or exotics.

Quick Analysis:

Going against the heavy favourite here at Sandown, I just think there’s something about Sing For Peace. The gelding is a quality runner, and the massive difference in weight between him and the favourite, Stern Idol, could prove all the difference. We haven’t seen the 7YO since early April, but he has had two tick-over trials since.

Quick Analysis:

Wrapping today up in the last at Scone. I think Arapawa presents good value, currently around the $4.80 mark. I’m not a big fan of the wide draw, but you can’t knock his form. The 3YO has had multiple placings and a win this prep. He also gets a 2kg weight relief thanks to apprentice jockey Nick Palmer.

Stats and Insights

  • Friar’s Legacy placed at Pinjarra last start and has been consistently supported by punters throughout his career. He looks the runner to beat in Race 7 at Bunbury.
  • Linchpin drops back to non-metro grade after competing in stronger company and already has an Ascot win this preparation. He looks the horse to beat in Race 8 at Bunbury.
  • Breeches made a winning return this preparation and comes from a stable that continues to place its runners well. She looks ideally suited in this grade in Race 8 at Townsville.
