He has been there or thereabouts all three runs this prep, without breaking through. He is more than due here, and blinkers come off for the first time.

With the gun draw, a lot is working in Feared’s favour in Race 6 today at Dubbo. He won last time out in Tamworth to break his maiden, and looked primed to go back-to-back here. The $1.90 that is currently on offer isn’t a lot to get excited about, but he shapes up to be the best bet of the day, so take what you can get. I can’t really see anyone else threatening him.

There’s lots of value in the 2026 edition of the Yarra Valley Cup, and I have my eye on New York Hurricane, who is currently going around with odds of $7.00. The gelding is looking for back-to-back wins, jockey Alana Kelly sticks with him here, and they draw the inside gate. He has the form in the bank, and I think he is the one to beat.
