Quick Analysis:

While $1.85 is certainly short, Heathcliff is there for the exotics or your multi for the day. The 4YO broke his maiden two runs back at Muswellbrook. While he couldn’t get the job done last time out, this looks like a more suitable assignment. Jockey Aaron Bullock is back in the saddle, and with blinkers on for the first time, he should be too hard to hold out.

Heading to Wodonga now, and Star Royals has caught my eye. The mare is looking for back-to-back wins after breaking her maiden last time out at this track. This is her home track, and it’s looking like we may get similar track conditions as last time out as well. She doesn’t draw as well as last time, but Chelsea Taylor has been on board for the last two runs and knows what to do.

Quick Analysis:

Back at Scone for the final race of the day and I think Cassiere presents decent enough value, currently going around at the $4.40 mark. The 6YO was unlucky not to get a win last prep, and she went close first-up at Eagle Farm almost three weeks ago. She’s had a recent trial in between with Mitchell Bell on board, and he saddles up once again.

Stats and Insights

  • Sheanadh resumes from a 27-week spell and has trialled ahead of her return. She can make a strong return in Race 6 at Wodonga.
  • Herman Said tackles this one second-up and can improve from that run under his belt. The Kris Lees-trained runner can go bang here in Race 7 at Scone.
  • Lightning Flash was narrowly beaten when well backed at Wangaratta last start. She can go one better in Race 8 at Wodonga.
