Quick Analysis:

Kicking today off in Coffs Harbour, and I’m sticking with the favourite. Certified Copy is around about even money and his prep has been spaced out nicely, with his last run about a month ago. That run was also at Coffs Harbour, and the 4YO finished second, less than a length off the leader. This one looks a bit easier, and he gets a 2kg weight relief to boot.

Quick Analysis:

I reckon I’ve found some value with Terralight in Warrnambool today. It’s a bit of an open field, but I just can’t pass up on the $4.60 that’s currently on offer. The mare has some great form at Warrnambool coming into this one, including a win and most recently a second placing (by just 0.06L). Teo Nugent, who was on board last time out, sticks once again, and they jump from barrier two.

Quick Analysis:

Staying in Warrnambool for my final best bet of the day, and I think Chateau Dancer can overcome the wide draw to get the chocolates. The 5YO broke her maiden last time out, and she’s ripe to back that up once again. She goes from a maiden to a BM62, which is a bit of a step up, but looking at this field, it isn’t that competitive. Liana Wood retains the ride and brings a 3kg weight relief as well.

Stats and Insights

  • Lucky Lass has won twice this campaign and boasts an excellent record at the track. She can make her strong course form count in Race 3 at Mackay.
  • Red Hot Lizzie comes off a dominant win at Cairns and represents the Lachie Manzelmann stable. She’s the deserved favourite in Race 5 at Mackay.
  • Blue Sparx has started his career strongly and broke through at Belmont last start. He can carry that winning form into Race 5 at Northam.
