Quick Analysis:

Furtherest Point isn’t the most experienced runner in the race, but he is already a winner here at Geelong. While he is the current favourite, the $3.75 still looks pretty good in my eyes. He hasn’t done much on paper so far this prep, but I think heading back to Geelong will change his fortunes. He also goes from a BM66 last time out to a BM56 and gets a 3kg weight relief thanks to apprentice jockey Bailey Kinninmont.

I think I’ve found some value with Winning Emotions, who’s going around at each-way odds at the moment. Take him for the win if you’re confident, or play it safe with an each-way bet. The 4YO kicked off this prep with a third placing here at Moruya, and also has a win under his belt this prep. He also has a second placing at Moruya before this prep.

Quick Analysis:

From barrier one, I think Rockthevelio can bag back-to-back wins after scoring at Nowra last time out. She’s the daughter of Castelvecchio and was completely dominant to break her maiden last time out, winning by 4L. The win was also from barrier one, and Alysha Collett was on board (and she lines up again). Rinse and repeat, please. This does look more difficult, but we’re getting $3.70.

Stats and Insights

  • Swexan is ideally drawn and has already won at Carnarvon this preparation. He looks well placed to return to the winner's circle in Race 5 at Carnarvon.
  • Only Us has been in outstanding form with three consecutive victories and boasts an excellent record at Carnarvon. He looks the one to beat in Race 6 at Carnarvon.
  • The Louvre resumed with a solid placing at Toowoomba and is expected to take improvement from that effort. He looks well placed to break through in Race 6 at Gatton.
