Quick Analysis:

Sticking with the favourite early in the day at Warwick Farm today. We’ve only seen one career run from Satin Serenade, which was a second placing at Canterbury in June. She’s been back at the trials though (two recent trials, and one of which was at this track), which should have her ripe for this one. The booking of James McDonald signals business, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see the filly go on to much bigger things.

Quick Analysis:

It’s a tiny field of just six runners, and the market doesn’t really know what it’s doing. I do, though, and only have eyes for Sushi Express. The old boy’s last three runs have been here at this track, including last time out, when he finished second, just 0.5L off the leader Rubbleonthedouble (who lines up here again). He also has a decent record across the mile, so I think he can get the job done.

Quick Analysis:

Taking a chance on Farcited for a top-three finish at Sandown Lakeside today. The lightly raced 4YO has a lot of potential, especially when you consider his breeding pedigree. He hasn’t had the easiest of runs to get here, but I think he has been overlooked in this market. The top weight doesn’t really bother me, and Mark Zahra is good enough to steer a winner from barrier three.

  • Back To Bondi backs up after seven days and has been consistent in metro company with two placings from four starts this preparation. He can capitalise on his consistent form in Race 4 at Belmont.
  • Goodlookin' Guru broke through with a strong maiden win at Murray Bridge and gets the ideal inside draw. She can pop up there at almost double-digit odds in Race 6 at Strathalbyn.
  • Precise Star is chasing a hat-trick after dominant wins at the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. He can extend his winning streak with another strong performance in Race 7 at Ipswich.
