Quick Analysis:

Going against the favourite here because I think Guest House can strike first-up and take out the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes in his first race back after winning the Golden Slipper. Plus the $5.50 that’s currently on offer is way too good to pass up. His Golden Slipper win wasn’t exactly a fluke, and he has been back at the trials twice to get ready for this. Zac Lloyd sticks once again.

Livalittle comes into this one at Eagle Farm as the favourite, but there’s still a smidge of value around the gelding. This will be his third time across this track/ trip in a row, with his previous two results a win and a third placing last time out (by just 0.79L). He steps up to a BM85 now, but from barrier two and with Daniel Moor riding (with just 57.5kg), he’s good enough to win this.

It’s the Memsie Stakes; I think Jimmysstar is ready to make his mark first up. I reckon Ciaron Maher has had this race in mind after going oh so close in the Kingsford Smith Cup last time out back in May (finishing just 0.09L off the winner, Headley Grange). The gelding has been back at the trials, and he looks hot to trot for this one, and the $4.00 on offer is another that I can’t pass up on.

  • Seize The Day comes off consecutive New Zealand wins, including at Group 1 level. He can bring that strong form after back-to-back Victorian trials in Race 7 at Caulfield.
  • Orange Tsunami is chasing a hat-trick after back-to-back wins at both Kembla Grange and Goulburn. He is good enough to topple the favourite and make it three on the bounce in Race 8 at Kembla Grange.
