Quick Analysis:

Have to stick with the favourite here in the Listed WJ McKell Cup. God's Window couldn’t get the job done last time out at Randwick but was only 0.7L behind the winner. He has been back to the trials since, which was decent. The step up to 2,000m should suit, and he does draw wide, but hopefully that means he can stay out of trouble.

Quick Analysis:

Heading to Eagle Farm now for the Group 1 Tattersall's Tiara. It's a big field as we tend to see in Group 1s, and I think Manaal can get the job done. She ran a great third in the Group 2 Moreton Cup, which was after being held up at a critical stage. She has an excellent second-up record of 5:3-1-0 and is already a Group 1 winner at this trip.

Quick Analysis:

For my last best bet of the day, I think Big Swinger looks hard to beat in a big field. We haven’t seen the 4YO for about a month after being scratched a couple of times, but this looks like the race for him. Ben Allen, who has had success on board Big Swinger in the past, saddles up for this one. The gelding also has a record of 9:4-1-1 when going around as the favourite.

Stats and Insights

  • Territory Man returned with an impressive win at Belmont and looks capable of going on with the job. He is the one they all have to beat in Race 7 at Belmont.
  • Hasten Delight ran a terrific race first-up at Warwick and should take improvement from that effort. He gets a terrific opportunity this time out at each-way odds in Race 7 at the Gold Coast.
  • Tobikko was heavily backed when narrowly beaten last start and gets every chance from the inside draw. He looks poised to get the win here in Race 8 at Morphettville Parks.
